3. Why we use it
- To answer enquiries and guide you before, during and after your stay.
- To process your booking, send confirmations and share practical details.
- To collect payment and issue receipts or invoices.
- To operate and improve campingslapaf.dk and the campsite.
- To protect against misuse and unauthorised use of our systems.
- To comply with legal requirements, including bookkeeping rules and obligations to authorities.
4. Legal basis
- Performance of a contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)) — when we handle your booking or respond to a specific request from you.
- Legitimate interests (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)) — when we operate and improve the campsite and website, for example to prevent misuse and ensure stable service.
- Consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)) — where we specifically ask for your consent, for example to sign up for future offers.
- Legal obligation (GDPR art. 6(1)(c)) — when we are required to retain information under the Danish Bookkeeping Act or other legislation.
5. How long we keep your data
- Enquiries and emails: up to 2 years after the last contact, after which they are deleted.
- Server and access logs: typically 30 days.
- Bookings and payment documentation: 5 years from the end of the financial year, as required by the Danish Bookkeeping Act.
6. Who we share with
We only share data with trusted processors that help us run the campsite and the website:
- Hosting and infrastructure for campingslapaf.dk.
- Payment provider, which handles card transactions during booking. Card details are stored only with the payment provider — we only see a payment reference and the amount paid.
- Email and communication provider that delivers our mailbox.
- Public authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information.
We have written data processing agreements with our suppliers and ensure that any transfer of personal data outside the EU/EEA takes place on a lawful basis, for example the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Cookies
We do not use analytics or marketing cookies on campingslapaf.dk. If we add any in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
8. Security
We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures. Traffic to and from campingslapaf.dk runs over HTTPS, and access to personal data is limited to the people who need it to do their job.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — you can ask what data we hold about you.
- Rectification — you can have inaccurate data corrected.
- Erasure ("the right to be forgotten") — in certain cases you can have your data deleted.
- Restriction — in certain cases you can ask us to restrict how we process your data.
- Objection — you can object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Data portability — you can receive the data you have provided to us in a common electronic format.
- Withdraw consent — if you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Email campingslapaf@outlook.com if you want to exercise any of these rights. We will respond within one month.
10. Lodging a complaint
We would much rather hear from you first if you are unhappy with how we handle your data — that way we can try to resolve it together. You can also lodge a complaint at any time with the Danish data protection authority:
11. Changes
We may update this policy if we change how we handle personal data or if the law requires it. The current version always lives on this page, and the date below shows when it was last updated.
